About Me
Dr. Camilo Garcia is a board-certified neurologist and epileptologist with over 18 years of experience. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and completed his neurology residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where he served as chief resident. He further specialized with a two-year fellowship in Epilepsy, Neurophysiology, and EEG at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
During his tenure at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Dr. Garcia established and led the Epilepsy Surgery Program in Weston, achieving Level IV Epilepsy Center designation. He pioneered Florida’s first stereo-EEG evaluation and developed the Seizure Interview Tool Program, standardizing seizure assessments across the Cleveland Clinic enterprise. Over his career, he has evaluated more than 1,500 patients for epilepsy surgery. His commitment to community engagement included founding epilepsy support groups for both English- and Spanish-speaking patients.
Dr. Garcia will serve as Co-Medical Director of the Epilepsy Surgical Program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center beginning July 1, where he will continue to advance his commitment to serving patients with complex epilepsy.
